The Grandaughter's worry

Hello, my name is Jayden Edwards.

I recently found this, the journal that my great grandmother Micha Edwards was keeping, in my Hope chest. It seems that my great grandmother stopped writing in the journal, but as it makes me feel so connected to her, I believe that I'll take it up! Settle in, future generations, I don't intend to give it up!

It seems that my grandmother was a very busy woman. In addition to being the best doctor in Sim Nation, she and grandfather Tobias raised four daughters and a son.

They also kept up a grandiose garden that supplies produce to the local restaurants (seedlings from it have started the gardens of many of my aunts!)

This genealogy chart was pressed between the pages of this journal:

You can see that my mother Leanne was the Edwards Heiress of her generation. An inspired artist, she raised my sister Honor and I with devotion and freedom of expression, causing us to grow into free spirited young women.

My sister became a journalist and married a gardener who came to tend grandmother's garden, Liam.

They are very much in love and have two children, Leah and Liam II. Leah recently became an adult herself and Liam II is a senior in high school.

I, as the Edwards heiress of my generation, spent a great deal of time soul searching the path my family would take. My career as a doctor was very important to me from the time that I was a young woman. It was difficult to find someone who could understand the demanding life style, but I finally found the love of my life in Ernest.

He and I wed young and were blessed with two healthy, adventurous children named Aeliza and Benjamin. On the heels of such happiness, sorrow stole upon us like a thief in the night. As my family lay down for the night slumber, my grand mother Micha passed away. Her departure to the after life was difficult on all of us, but perhaps most for grandfather Tobias.

My daughter recently wed a respectful gardener by the name Will.

The two are very committed to our family's legacy and have already given Ernest and I four wonderful, clever grand sons.

However, we all know that the matriarchy must be borne on the shoulders of a daughter born of the Heiress. My daughter is far too overwhelmed with her career in Medicine and raising her sons to try and conceive just now. I grow worried as the years pass by as my daughter becomes more consumed with studies and play dates.
Sorrow consumes all of us now as my father passes away before us to join my ancestors in the hereafter. Now my fears of our family's future plague me constantly. What will become of our Legacy if we are not blessed with a great grand daughter of Micha Edwards?

Today Micha has found a new hobby that she has in common with her new friend, Tobias!
Well, its not so much a hobby for Tobias yet...

It turns out that his career requires him to be at a - shall we say, 'certain fitness level' that he's fallen behind on. Way behind. Likely all those late night spaghetti dinners.

Luckily for him, Micha has always been fit. She has the patience of a saint to listen to all of his excuses and once the work out actually starts- all of the muttered complaints!

They stick it out though, Tobias admits he's been saving up for something special and he really needs a promotion!

After a few weeks of working out- and more healthy dinner dates!- Tobias asks Micha over for a 'special date'.

As it turns out, he wants Micha to move in with him! However, Micha can't leave the land that her parents have bought for her.

So the couple decide that Tobias will move in with Micha instead. It's a living arrangement made in heaven!

However, Micha quickly realizes that the wonderful arrangement is bringing something else wonderful into creation!

Micha certainly had planned a marriage and a few promotions before starting a family, but life sometimes has a way of working itself out.

Tobias certainly has it all worked out- after a wonderul spaghetti and sushi dinner (those cravings can not be denied!) he surprises Micha with a ring- and vows from the heart.

Before long, the couple are blessed with a healthy baby girl! Welcome Gillian Edwards!

This is Micha Edwards, a vivacious redhead whose emphatic and very people focused. Micha's traits are Family Oriented, Hopeless Romantic, Artistic, Lucky and Friendly.

She is currently trying to get ahold of her parents and has discovered that they have gone on vacation to Thailand for two weeks. Disappointing to accept, she will have to thank them for the start up money they gave her to buy this wonderful land to start her life with.

The land is what she is focussing on- as the 'house' isn't much. Its clean enough, for what there is- a bed, a kitchenette and a single table and chair. The Voice in the Sky can't even arrange the Sky Camera to get a good picture of it, its so tiny!

However, Micha decides to go out on the town and look for a job. As she walks along the winding street, she notices someone carrying a bag crossing the street in front of her. He has strawberry blonde hair, is well built- and there's something touching about his eyes when he nods as he passe her. Acting impulsively, she follows the young man to his house.

Introductions reveal that he is Tobias Stabler and that he too, is new to town! He's very animated about the new Gardening book that he's purchased. The two start to talk and he offers to cook her dinner with the produce he expects to grow!

Saddened that she'd have to wait so long to see him again, Micha goes about town. She gets a job in the Medical career (as an organ donar, ew!), scrapes together money for an easel and spends time developing her creativety!

Sooner than expected, Tobias invites her over to his house.

He confides that the produce hasn't grown in yet but that he couldn't wait any longer to see her! When she confides she's glad he called, they laugh and share thier moving in experiences over Spighetti and Meatballs!

As Micha leaves, she could swear that Tobias mentions catching the new blockbuster film next week. All she has to do is scrape together the cost of that!
